Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this. I am Nico’s mother. His dream is to be a professional soccer player and use his skills to help represent Guatemala in an elite level. He has been working really hard since he was 6 years, and now he is 16. During these 10 years he has sacrificed a normal teenager’s life to become a disciplined, talented and consistent player. He has won personal awards as well as helping his different teams earn national recognitions. He made his CV and a video for high level clubs across Europe. Last week we had the opportunity for a trial in Valencia, Spain with a team called Levante which competes in Spain’s first division against powerhouses such as Barcelona and Real Madrid. After earning a scholarship and traveling to Valencia to train for 3 weeks we are humbled to receive an extension from the club so he can continue his development in Spain.
It was hard for us to pay the airfare, but with hard work and collaboration from people who know Nico’s discipline and potential, we did it. Now they are asking me to support Nico for 4 months. During this time Nico will have the opportunity to shine in an important tournament. Due to recent laws in Spain the family has to pay for his food, transportation and housing. It´s the opportunity to make his dream come true after 10 years where he worked very hard, but we do not have the money to support him as a family.
It’s disheartening for me as his mother, that he can´t continue this once in a lifetime opportunity because of money that we don’t have. That´s why we are asking people to help Nico accomplish his dream. We have to resolve this before this Friday 30th, and if we don’t raise the money, he has to come back to Guatemala, and we lose this incredible opportunity to achieve what is ultimately a dream deep down in his heart.
This is my last chance to help my kid to realize an important dream that he’s worked really hard for.
Please help us by funding his travel and in exchange we hope that you can one day celebrate one of his goals knowing you are a part of his growth. We would also be forever grateful.
